Hatmaker Week 36, September 2019: Need a hat before Christmas/New Years? Now is the time!

Blog Week 35 Banner.jpg

I think I am back to last years pace. Working every single day, including the weekends. Just to finish up hats and to catch up for lost time. I am currently working on the last orders made during June and slowly picking up orders from July. Both July and August have been great months. A lot of new and exciting hat styles coming out, and that’s all thanks to you. I can’t wait to finish them and show them to the world.

With my new studio, the space is more efficient. Or at least that’s what the plan is. I am not ready to share what it looks like. Just have to wait until everything is done. The new efficiency helps me to work on more hats at the same time and have more control over what is happening the day after.

Hats are as popular as ever. If you are looking to get a hat before Christmas/ New Years, then now is the time to order. Once we enter into October the delivery date will end up towards January 2020. I got new felts coming in next month. Looking forward to receiving those. 100X Beaver Sand, 100X Beaver Sable Brown Replenishment and 30X Beaver Blend in Black. I am ready to place next order as I am expanding into 2 new colors in both beaver blend and pure beaver. More on that once its getting closer.

Feel free to let me know if you are looking for any particular felt color, I am glad to expand my selection in turn.

HJALMAR Bowler was completed this week. The crown is 4.5 inch tall with a 2 inch brim. I am particularly honored that this Bowler is flying to UK on Monday. It’s always a pleasure to create these. The brim binding takes time but the results are just getting better and better. These ribbons just act as they belong to the hat, made with a Cotton/ Rayon blend.

This CUSTOM RAGNAR FEDORA in Moss Green is indeed special. A different ribbon design and made with a lower crown than usual. The brim has been trimmed as well. I made this as a test hat, not an actual order. I wanted to try out a new technique and make a different ribbon than what I normally make. This hat is in a size 60 (US 7 1/2) and will be up on eBay for sale. Either tonight or tomorrow will you be able to see it there.

Various LEIFUR orders were completed during this weekend. I got two more almost complete. If you follow my blog then you will be able to see LEIFUR hats in every posts.

These recent posts have been extra hectic to finish typing. These days I just need to focus more on creating hats than to write. Hope to balance it out better in the future. Thanks for reading!

Here is what I have finished this week and still working on for the next.
