Hatmaker Week 26, July 2023: Consider the future

Hatmaker Week 26, July 2023: Consider the future

Posted by Mikael Einarsson on

Orders are coming in for the Autumn/Winter season. It takes time to craft a fedora and many have learned from previous years, that if you wish to have a Hufvud Fedora in time for Autumn and Winter, now is the time to place a custom order. More felts are coming in, mostly replenishment for current stock, and new colors are expected at the end of the year or at the beginning of 2024.

My two new magnificent tools are being shipped out tomorrow. Hopefully they will arrive within July month. The import tax is going to be horrendous, but that is the cost of efficiency. Will show you once they arrive and I do hope they arrive all in one piece.

The summer weather in Sweden turned to Autumn feeling, I do hope the summer warmth will come back. Regardless, I am stuck with a lot of work indoors. The 2nd floor of the studio is coming along nicely. The new floor is on the way, perhaps next week. Then I will spend on installing the floor by my self. Large floor space and that will take a bit of time to finish. After that, I will be ready to use the space, clear up the ground floor and improve the efficiency even further. Also, I will open up to visitors once all is in its right place.

Until then, thank you for your continued support. Orders and donations helps to keep this small business alive. A lot of expenditure this year and I hope to make it up from orders. Please continue to keep me busy!

Regards,
